Life at Jubilee Court

At Jubilee court we always strive to provide opportunities for choice in a dedicated care environment so our residents can regard us as their home from home. Our residents are invited to meet and discuss the home and our facilities on a regular basis, influencing all aspects of their lives from the menu to trips to the theatre. As a small, family-orientated, business we value the community we have here at Jubilee Court and feel confident we all will provide a warm welcome to anyone who comes to join our home.

Activities

We work closely with our residents to provide a wide variety of activities, both in our care home and around the Bexhill and East Sussex area. We always encourage and try to help our residents continue their own hobbies and interests, where possible. A selection of our recent activities includes:

• Music and movement
• Sing-alongs
• Bingo
• Theatre trips and pantomimes
• Arts & Crafts
• Quizzes and Reminiscence

As well as our normal schedule of activities we make sure all significant dates in the calendar are marked and celebrated. The home always marks our residents’ birthdays and other significant events in our and other cultural calendars with activities, themed meals and parties. Our residents have also been involved in the gardening and our indoor plants on a completely voluntary basis and we encourage any kind of activity which will help maintain individual interests, hobbies and links with the wider community. We are always happy to welcome guests on respite care, loved ones and relatives want to join-in in these activities. Please feel free to contact us if you would like any more details.

Food and Dining

Our cooks and kitchen staff provide a home-cooked, varied menu at breakfast, lunch, dinner with snacks and hot and cold drinks available on request. A vegetarian option is always available at every meal time and we cater for all dietary requirements. Our menu is changed and updated regularly with input from our residents to take advantage of seasonal quality and tastes of our residents.

Other Services

We maintain strong links and working relationships with all the local healthcare services and liaise closely with our resident’s General Practioners and all referred and specialist health services to ensure the best possible level of health care is provided. The home has a number of professional services who visit the home on a regular basis including; dentists, opticians, hair dressers, chiropodists and beauticians (charges may apply). Different faith groups also visit the home regularly and we encourage our residents to maintain such community links. We provide a full laundry and cleaning service for our residents through our dedicated domestic team.
